Okay now, let’s be real, WHO in their right mind willingly becomes a member of the 5 AM club, especially for photos??

Hello, it’s me—obviously.

BUUUUT before you judge my apparent insanity, hear me out! Dragging myself out of bed before the sun even thinks about rising has some serious perks.

First of all, NOBODY wants to be a sweaty mess during a photoshoot, especially not your clients (and definitely NOT me!).

But with a sunrise session, you get to ditch the midday heat and enjoy that glorious morning coolness. Think crisp air, cool sand between your toes, and a refreshing start to the day.

It's the perfect recipe for amazing photos and happy clients! ✨

And the best part? You still have the entire day ahead of you, including a much-needed caffeine fix at that cute coffee shop downtown you’ve been wanting to go to.

Secondly, because you chose an ungodly time to take these photos, you practically have the whole place to yourselves!

No photobombing strangers, (which means less editing for me—hallelujah!), but more importantly, it means my clients can truly relax and be themselves.

No awkward stares from curious onlookers—just pure, genuine moments captured on camera.

And without the audience, they can just focus on each other and let their genuine emotions shine through.

The result? Photos that are bursting with authenticity and real emotions.

And trust me, that’s something I’ll gladly wake up early for any day!

Speaking of refreshing,

let me introduce you to Emmy and Jae, the coolest, most laid-back couple ever! They were all about keeping things simple and real for their photoshoot AND website – no drama, just pure love, and good vibes.

These two lovebirds initially reached out for help with their wedding website (because who doesn't love easy RSVPing?).

But when they sent over some photos, I noticed something was missing...engagement pics! Turns out, they were totally lost on where to even begin.

Well, obviously, I couldn't let them go without offering my services (with a little discount because, hey, weddings are expensive!). They were thrilled, and honestly, it wasn't even about the money for me. I just wanted to help them out (because that's how I roll!).

One-stop shop for all your wedding needs? You know it! ;-)

While brainstorming photo ideas and website vibes, I noticed Emmy's inspo pics were all about those beachy backdrops.

Now, if you're in Houston, you know Galveston is our closest "beach" option. And let's be honest, it's not exactly the crystal-clear paradise I'm used to from my Guam days.

But hey, Galveston has its own quirky charm! I'm obsessed with its Louisiana-French vibes.

So, when I suggested sunrise for their photoshoot, I was shocked (and secretly pumped) when they were totally on board! And let me tell you, the location was absolutely stunning at that hour... ✨

*You can practically smell the fresh, crisp morning beach air!*

With a few strategic clicks and some creative magic—

we nailed those shots and captured exactly what they were looking for! ✨ Now, it was time to bring their vision to life on their wedding website.

The bride had a clear idea of what she wanted: something clean, elegant—straight to the point.
(Cue the sigh of relief! Easy clients are the best!)

It didn't take long to weave my magic and piece together a website that was as beautiful as their love story. But being the anxious perfectionist that I am, I may have triple-checked every tiny detail... okay, maybe more like 189 times.

After a few nail-biting minutes (on my end, of course), they finally saw their website and... they LOVED it! And let me tell you, there's no feeling quite like making your clients happy!

Working on this project with Emmy and Jae was an absolute dream! Their website perfectly reflects them: down-to-earth, genuine, and totally in love ♡ And guess what? They loved the final result so much that they asked me to photograph their wedding too! 😭

I'm beyond honored! They're such a sweet and easygoing couple, and I'm so excited to be a part of their big day. I'll move mountains to make sure it's the most memorable day ever! ✨
